School Dinners & Packed Lunches
At Beck Row Primary Academy, parents can choose to provide their child with a healthy packed lunch or pay for a school dinner, which currently cost £2.55 per day, which equal £12.75 a week.
Paying for school dinners
All school dinners must be paid for in advance. Payments can be made via My Child At School (MCAS). If you are a parent and do not have a MCAS account or need a alternative way to pay, please contact the school office.
Universal Infant Free School Meals & Free School Meals
At our school, we are committed to supporting every child’s learning and wellbeing. Two key support programs available to families are UIFSM (Universal Infant Free School Meals) and FSM (Free School Meals). Here’s what they mean and how they can help your child.
Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) is a government-funded program that offers all children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 a free school meal – no application or income assessment needed.
Key features:
- Available to all children in the first three years of primary school
- No forms or eligibility checks required
- Aims to promote healthy eating and support early childhood development
Even if your child receives UIFSM, we encourage parents to still apply for FSM if eligible, as this can unlock additional funding (called Pupil Premium) that supports your child’s education in other ways.
Free School Meals (FSM) is a government scheme that provides eligible children with a free meal during the school day.
Who is eligible for free school meals?
Free school meals are available to pupils in receipt of, or whose parents are in receipt of,
