Year 2 – Foxes
Welcome back to Foxes for our last half term together.
We have a packed few weeks ahead of us, including our class assembly on the 14th June. We have got lots of exciting things planned in the lead up to the end of term, so check on here for photos of all we have been doing!
Foxes are working really hard to gain their 20 ticks on the chart in order to earn Golden Tickets. Most children are beginning to bank their tickets to earn bigger prizes…look at the photo below to see some of the goodies they are working towards gaining.
They asked…..We listened!!
Foxes enjoyed Miss Saunders coming over from our partner school Great Heath so much, they asked if she could join us for a bit. So, this half term we welcome her to the Fox Class teaching team to work with us from time to time.
Our Lion Dance from last half term to celebrate Chinese New Year.
An Exciting Visit!
We were very lucky to have Luna-Grace (Rabbits) and Emily’s (Kingfishers) mum bring two lambs into school today for us to look at, and even touch! It was an exciting experience for us all, so we want to say a very big THANK YOU to her for bringing them in.
A THANK YOU from Mrs Horne…
This card from her can be found on our classroom door.
Some Exciting News!!
On Tuesday 6th May, we received two very exciting letters and a parcel! Our fairy friend Silky (from The Enchanted Wood) had sent us some Magic Pencils to use for our Very Important Work in Fox Class. Unfortunately, the naughty gnome Creepy stole them before Silky could get them to us. Luckily our other Faraway friends Joe, Frannie and Beth managed to rescue them and send them to us. We have already used them, and yes! the magic words really do work!! Here are the letters we received….. Old Oak Tree Cottage
Look what we had today….
Fox class got to share this amazing, yummy cake today thanks to a fabulous birthday girl!! It helped with our fraction learning too, as we had to work out how many it needed to be cut into so we all got an equal sized piece! It was some very tasty learning!! Thank you again to the Birthday Girl.
